Today, there are millions of websites available on the internet, all beautifully designed and offering splendid services . Everyday we log on to these websites and utilize it's services to our delight. For quite sometime, websites have been around...Imagine life without them.


While surfing the web, I stumbled into an article  that throws back our mind back to the very first website. This reminded me of what I learned some years ago in school, the history of the World Wide Web(WWW).

The www was a project that was initially started to allow scientists of different categories to communicate more easily and share project resources and ideas. Today it is something much more bigger. Billions of people interact on the web daily. From social interaction, to sourcing information, posting information, entertainment, etc. 

The first website launched on December 20, 1990 and was created by Tim Berners-Lee, a scientist at the CERN research facility in Switzerland.
