Samsung is set to make us relieve the good old days by bringing back flip phones with modern features. The latest of Samsung flip phone range will certainly be welcomed by some die hard Samsung fans.
According to Sammobile, Samsung's upcoming flip phone will likely be called SM-W2016, and it will come with two 3.9-inch, 1280x768 pixel displays — each on one side of the phone's cover. On the lower part of the phone you'll find a numeric keypad which, if you still remember how to use it, will make you feel like you're in the '90s again.
The Android 5.1.1 device will also have an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary one. Now this is certainly an old phone design with latest features!
Samsung actually released a flip phone — though only in Korea — in July this year, but that one was a low-end device. Not only does the new one have premium specs, but — based on the photos from China's regulatory agency TENAA — it also looks like a clamshell variant of Samsung Galaxy S6.
The date of release and availability in which regions is yet to be announced.
