Photos:Rare pink diamond sells for $28.5 million at Geneva auction
This 16.08-carat pink diamond,
photographed at Christie's in Geneva
was bought for a whooping $28.5 million at an auction on November 10. This is the largest cushion-shaped stone classified in the elite "fancy vivid" category ever to come to auction, and was owned by an
American family until its sale on
November 10th.
This pink diamond was also given a name, it was named: 'Sweet Josephine.' It was bought by a Hong Kong collector who was not publicly identified.
