Father of three commits suicide in Edo state, Nigeria

Christopher Duffoir, has committed suicide at his residence situated at Irhirhi, Oko, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.


According to Tribune newspaper, Christopher's body was found by his wife, Eno, dangling from the ceiling fan in the house. When questioned, the wife related that her husband started acting strange after he returned from a trip outside the state.

She said he was taken to a psychiatric hospital for treatment but escaped from the hospital after staying for a few days.

Eno said on the day of the incident, she'd left him sleeping in the sitting room and when she returned, she saw his body dangling from the ceiling fan. His body has since been deposited at a mortuary in the state while investigations by the Edo
state police command is ongoing.
