Larry David Yells 'Trump's a Racist' During SNL Monologue, Wins $5,000
Donald Trump's Saturday Night Live just made Larry David $5,000 richer.
The host and Republican presidential candidate opened the episode in his usual manner. He winked at the previous "greats" who had hosted before him, like himself in 2004, and set up a gag about how Aidy Bryant looks nothing like Rosie O'Donnell, but he confused them anyway.
But it was while explaining how the episode would demonstrate that he could really take a joke that things began to multiply:
First, Taran Killam showed up as Trump. Then former cast member Darryl Hammond showed up as Trump. Then all three of them stood together in a line of Trumps, the two impersonators making rubber-faced reactions as the real Trump, 69, shrugged them off.
(Great guys, he said, but with none of his power or money or looks.)
Meanwhile, David stood in the wings for a final surprise moment of heckling, "Trump's a racist!" The reason? He heard that a Hispanic advocacy group was offering $5,000 to anyone in the SNL audience who called the candidate a racist during his monologue.
David may come out as the winner here as the group, Deport Racism, said they plan on giving the star the $5,000 they had promised.
