Gwen Stefani officially confirms dating Blake Shelton

Just days after a rep confirmed that Gwen Stefani — who recently split from her long-time husband and fellow rocker Gavin Rossdale — is dating her “The Voice” co-judge Blake Shelton, Gwen has spoken up about what a “rad” dude her new love interest is.

According to ET Online, Gwen called into 103.7 KVIL in Dallas/Forth Worth for a radio interview which will air on Monday (Nov. 9) at 4 p.m. CT and during the discussion, the subject of her post-divorce dating life came up.

“He’s a pretty rad guy, I have to say that,” Gwen reportedly said of Shelton, who also recently ended his marriage to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert earlier this summer.
“There’s been loads of people that have helped me with this tragedy,” Gwen added. “There’s definitely key people that have pointed me into the right direction. Blake really helped me. Not to change the subject, but it’s kinda on the same subject, Pharrell was literally like a guardian angel.”

Gwen denied having anything to do with her rep’s confirmation of the blossoming relationship — in a statement to Us Weekly her spokesperson confirmed, “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating” — by saying that when it came to going public, “We didn’t! Like, somebody did. That’s what’s so crazy like, who announces that? Why would I do that?”

Before her relationship with Blake Shelton was made public news, Gwen gave a lengthy interview to Carson Daly at 97.1 in which she detailed her “pretty awesome” post-Gavin life and said that when it comes to her and Blake, “We’re just trying to have fun.”
